In 1998 two Dutch companies put small series of Den Oudsten B96 Alliance City low-floor buses with LPG engines in service. Midnet (now Connexxion) bought 10 for its city services in Zwolle, in the blue colors used for that town. The Midnet ones have two doors. The entrance is narrow. These Midnet buses also have the new optional separate destination box. The better legibility of this type is obvious. Contrast this with the Hermes model.
