The very first series of buses using the Alliance bodywork was a batch of 4 built for Belgian operator Bronckaers. They still have the profiled skirt, which the later Volvo's, built for Dutch companies, lack. They were used for transport of personnel of the factories in the Limburg province, but in 2000 also showed up on public transport services. Exceptionally they were not repainted in the colors of the Flemish bus company De Lijn but retained their gray outfit, although receiving De Lijn logos. They have a narrow central exit, a rare feature on Den Oudsten buses. One bus is seen here on a special service in Bree, and a few weeks later on service 11 in Hasselt.
