Nishitetsu is a private regional rail operator in Kyushu and also operates the largest bus fleet in Japan. Nishitetsu buses serve the large cities of Fukuoka and Kita-Kyushu. The highway bus fleet was recently spun off into an independent company and serves most large cities in Japan. Nishitetsu also owns the bus body manufacturer, NSK. Thus, almost all Nishitetsu buses have NSK bodies, although all four of the big four manufacturers provide chassis.
